Rainy Days

Spent the lazy day with the camera in my hand, listening to the shutter of the camera and the tapping of rain on the roof. The house filled with hazy light and gray clouds rolling back and forth outside the window. I wish every day could be as calming as today :) 

Feels like Flying

I won't beat around the bush this time about why I'm so very excited, I'll say it straight out: I'm printing my first official batch of photographs soon! It may seem very small compared to other things and other photographers, but it's very special for me. These days it's so much more common for photographer to create an electronic portfolio, but I love the idea of just having a bundle of photographs tied with string under my arm to share with everyone. This is such a great start of 2012, I can't wait to see what the rest of the year unfolds! See you soon everyone :)

Footprints

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some stay awhile and leave footprints in our hearts..". I was filing through old folders when I came across these photographs taken over the summer. I hadn't seen my three best friends since over two years, and when we met it was like I hadn't left at all. Horsing around and roaring with laughter until our stomachs hurt--we picked up from where we left off--and time passed just like that. Sinking our feet in the cool sand, tip toeing in the lake, making s'mores under the starry night sky. It's astounding how the people who are meant to stay in your life stay with no effort at all, and those who are meant to leave disappear when the time comes.
